Walk Upon England

Album celebrating the English countryside

13th June 2015

Walk Upon England is a project that celebrates the English countryside as a source of creativity in music and spoken word.

It is a unique collection of evocative albums created by England’s rural living composers and writers who find their inspiration by walking in its most beautiful and unspoiled landscapes.

The first album of the project is titled ‘In A South Downs Way’, composed by Damian Montagu and arranged and recorded in his Sussex studio with trumpet player and former Paul Weller sideman, Stewart Prosser.

The actor Hugh Bonneville contributed and narrated written reflections.
